PURPOSE OF PARTICIPATION & FUTURE
GOAL
I have been working in Japan all my life and will be retiring soon. Fortunately,
I have managed to stay healthy and as such I would like to contribute
to this
cultural exchange program. I would like to promote friendship and understanding
between the United States of America and Japan by sharing my culture and traditions
with your school children and community. Through this internship, I
would be able
to learn more about cultural issues and improve my English ability by
living and
communicating with native English speakers. I have been brushing up on my English
since I was 63 years old and wish to improve my English ability even
further.
After returning to Japan, I would like to volunteer for similar cultural exchange
activities for foreigners.
